Getting things done in Abbeygate

I have been working closely with my fellow Abbeygate Councillor, Paul Farmer, since 2005, representing all the people in the Abbeygate ward. Here are some of the things we have campaigned on and achieved over the past few years:

‘No waiting’ restriction in Alicia Court

Re-paving of Athenaeum Lane

Yellow lines dropped kerbs and build-out added in Beech Rise

Castle Road planning: only two storeys permitted instead of three

Road markings and planning enforcement in Churchgate Street

Mobile phone masts on the BT building avoided twice

Adoption of Corsbie Close

Adoption of Harrington Close, grounds maintenance issues and river maintenance

Honey Hill speed reduction works

Hospital Road residents’ parking survey

Kings Road unwanted brown bins removed, mobile mast prevented and nightclub concerns

Composting bags for those without brown bins

Hatter Street pavement tables and chairs minimised
