Getting things done in AbbeygateI have been working closely with my fellow Abbeygate Councillor, Paul Farmer, since 2005, representing all the people in the Abbeygate ward. Residents’ parking for Victoria Street, Chalk Road and Albert Street area ‘No waiting’ restriction in Alicia Court Re-paving of Athenaeum Lane Yellow lines dropped kerbs and build-out added in Beech Rise Castle Road planning: only two storeys permitted instead of three Road markings and planning enforcement in Churchgate Street Mobile phone masts on the BT building avoided twice Adoption of Corsbie Close Adoption of Harrington Close, grounds maintenance issues and river maintenance Honey Hill speed reduction works Hospital Road residents’ parking survey Kings Road unwanted brown bins removed, mobile mast prevented and nightclub concerns Composting bags for those without brown bins Hatter Street pavement tables and chairs minimised Coppers Close brown bins supplied Mill Road waste collection issues and bollards Nelson Road parking and other issues Out Westgate planning Pinners Way graffiti Saxon Gate adoption, build-outs and bins Shillitoe Close high hedge removed Southgate and Sparhawk Streets public meeting and traffic calming St Andrews Court barrier with Robert Boby Way St Mary’s Square unadoption of road Whiting Street YMCA planning issues Windmill Rise more yellow lines Angel Hill creperie van minimised Abbeygate St gates Crown St school crossing sign |
